Making a Difference
All those who work at Modera have something very important in common: we believe in making a difference. It goes even beyond our fiduciary responsibility to act in our clients’ best interests. Everyone who works at Modera has been chosen because of their sense of compassion, their drive to deliver service through their expertise, their desire to help. We want to make a difference in your life.
But it also goes beyond what we do for you. We believe in making a positive impact to our profession and our communities as well.
How do we make a difference?
The Modera Charitable Foundation was created to support several giving back initiatives. Such activities include supporting pro bono financial planning services, local non-profits and emergency services.
Our Philanthropy Committee is tasked to determine where Modera can have an impact and executes a plan accordingly to address that need. Each year, the Committee determines a central theme and leads a Day of Service where all colleagues take pause to participate in the activities.
Our Diversity and Inclusion Committee: Our firm has created a dedicated Diversity and Inclusion Committee to set best practices and review policies for the firm.
Financial Planning Leaders: Our colleagues serve as leaders in professional associations within our financial planning industry. Such positions include Board and Officer level roles in organizations such as NAPFA (National Association of Personal Financial Advisors). Twice in Modera history, our colleagues were President of NAPFA.
Community Leaders: Our colleagues serve as leaders within their communities. Such examples include serving as board members or officers within a regional chamber, town recreation, networking organization, and town planning boards.
Serving our communities as a collective or as individuals has always been crucial to us. We aim to find areas of need and address them wholeheartedly.
Commitment to the Community
The caring culture of Modera is evident in our personal stories and our commitment to our communities.
