Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer / LGBTQ Financial Planning is Unique and Diverse

LGBTQ financial planning is unique and the landscape of needs across our clients is diverse. There’s no one size fits all approach.

As LGBTQ financial advisors and allies, we take special care in listening. We want to hear about your unique goals and concerns. After spending time getting to know you, we’ll help you build a plan that addresses what you’ve shared. We’ll also make sure that it’s flexible enough to adapt to changes in your future and in future legislation.

In addition, we regularly discuss the following LGBTQ financial planning topics with our clients, and keep up to date on changing policies so you don’t have to:

  • Family planning, including reciprocal IVF (in vitro fertilization), surrogacy, and adoption

  • Transition planning and cost of care that may not be covered by health insurance

  • Tax strategies for individuals and couples

  • Long term care planning with or without family assistance

  • Trust and estate planning, including protecting assets for your loved ones and setting up health care and financial powers of attorney

Who We Serve and How to Take the Next Step

Due to the comprehensive nature of our services, our LGBTQ financial planning clients typically have in excess of $1M of investible assets that we manage.

We look forward to hearing from you to take the next step. During our initial call, we will look to gain a better understanding of what’s most important to you and how we may be able to help.

Other Ways We Can Help:

For those who have not accumulated this level of assets, we provide guidance in two ways:

  • We write and make available articles on the topical matters above.
  • We can be a resource in finding other professionals (i.e. lawyers, CPAs) whom you may need to speak with when weighing your options.

Wherever you are in your financial journey, we can at least get you headed in the right direction.

LGBTQ Financial Planning: Looks Simple from Afar

As a LGBTQ financial advisor, my clients tell me they often hear some baffling questions. Maybe someday I won’t be surprised by the lack of awareness regarding the complexity around life as someone who identifies as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning. But today, I continue to be astonished. This is why I focus my time on LGBTQ financial planning.
